This plugin will send a automatic mail message when you visitor leave a comment on your wordpress blog.
Other feature of this plugin is when you reply your visitor comment from your dashboard this plugin will make automatic message and will tell to your visitor that their comment has replied.
How To Install
Heuheu, just activate this on your dashboard and it will work for you.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THIS DECLARED AT YOUR FOOTER:

How To Configure
Go to you Settings section on your dashboar, look for “WP Comment Auto Responder”.
Then click it and you will see a page like this:

This is not final, i’ll improve this plugin and make more feature for it.

It now works. But the mail I get has the following From: $fromname , where xxxxxx is my providers name.
I suggest that $fromname and $from.at.etc be user definable.

He2 ga juga sih mas, dia ngereply per komentar masuk. Secara default plugin ini hanya akan mengeksekusi komentar tertanggal plugin diinstall atau hari2 selanjutnya kecuali mas set tanggalnya jauh sebelum itu mungkin aja akan ada antrian komentar
soalnya walaupun banyak anttrian tapi tetap yang diproses satu persatu 
biar server ga berat

Yes, you can comment PHP Line num 364 in wp-comment-auto-responder.php (if you use latest version of this plugin).
You can comment line with type ‘#’ in beginning of line.
Or if you get problem you can download from this:

After download just extract to your directory plugin.

I am using the most up to date WordPress version (which is currently 2.8.5) and version 3.0 of the Comment Autoresponder plugin but when I activate the plugin I am receiving the following error on my site:
WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND `meta_key` = 'wp_car_tag' LIMIT 1' at line 1]
SELECT `meta_value` FROM `wp_postmeta` WHERE `post_id` = AND `meta_key` = ‘wp_car_tag’ LIMIT 1
I can see from the comments above that I am not the only person experiencing this problem. Please let us know when this has been fixed and an update is available as I am really excited to start using this plugin, its exactly what I was looking for.

I think that problem caused by wrong parameter on your wordpress database, i’ve tried two of my blog but i didn’t find that problem.
Please check this line:
$table_comment = $wpdb->prefix . “comments”;
If you have different table please change it.
Or please email your blog password or your cpanel password to me (ceo.ahlul [at] yahoo.com) i’ll fix it for free.

Looks to me a great plugin. I have just installed it. used the “email send test” option and it worked but in actual when someone leave a comment and when someone else reply to that comment, it does not generate the email. No email is received to the commenter.

Bos, saya memakai metoda custom plugin url (http://codex.wordpress.org/Determining_Plugin_and_Content_Directories) di blog saya, jadi path plugin saya bukan lagi di /wordpress/wp-content/plugin tapi di folder lain, tapi kok tab di plugin Auto Responder jadi ga ke-load ya?

Pluginnya cocok nih sama kebutuhan saya. Cuma sebelum pasang mau tanya dulu.
Itu email notifikasi nya cuma buat reply komentar langsung ya (maksudnya nested comment harus diaktifkan)? Bisakah dipakai dipakai kalau tidak nested comment seperti blog saya yang masih modus serial ala jaman dulu.
Plugin ini bukan plugin pengaturan komentar, jadi tidak terpengaruh ini nested comment or not.
Jadi plugin ini tujuannya sebagain notifikasi / auto responder bagi yang memposting berita.
Iya, maksudnya itu tadinya apakah notifikasi hanya untuk reply langsung (model nested) atau semua komentator sebelumnya dapat notifikasi untuk komentar berikutnya. Tapi kemudian saya dapat juga komentar Gen di bawah. Jadi cocok dah.

Iya, setelah saya coba sepertinya kurang cocok untuk model non-nested. Reply tidak ada pemberitahuan karena dianggapnya selalu komentar baru.
Hmm sepertinya Anda salah peruntukan plugin, ini bukan plugin yang anda butuhkan mungkin… ini cuma auto respond bagi yang berkomentar dan statusnya approved..

Yup, i think it will work to on a page, because the script work based on comment table not post type.
Thanks so much for your quick response. I did figure that out, actually…as it eventually emailed me from the test.
Now, my question is: is there a way to configure it so that it autoresponds to ALL comments made, and not just approved, ie. to say thank you for your comment?

That’s possible, just remove “`comment_approved` = 1 AND ” from the code.

Hi tanya, thanks for donation.. you should be received the email if there is no problem with your hosting.. please consult to your hosting provider first.. if they think there is no problem you can contact me again.
I do receive other emails from my blog, like when someone comments, so i don’t think its a hosting issue
NEVERMIND – I got the test emails, they just took a while.

Sudah saya coba tapi sementara saya non aktifkan lagi ,karena setiap ada coment baru langsung mengirim pemberitahuan ke komentator sebelumnya. Apakah ini bisa diganti dengan fungsi newsletter
saya comment di salah satu blog,pas buka email…eh ada balasan dan akhirnya menelusuri ke sini.saya baru tau ada wordpress auto responder

Kenapa pluginnya bikin error blog saya?
Mas kalo di hosting gratisan seperti freehostia bisa tidak?
I tried this plugin but i caused error found in error_log files as bellow :
WordPress database error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax ….[bla-bla-bla]
Is there any way to fix it?

plugin bagus, tapi setingannya sulit ya. dah aq coba beberapa kali tapi enggak berhasil.
tapi kayaknya gw nih yang enggak pinter….
mas, saya sudah install pluginnya.. tapi kok tombol execute “update” di menu setting ga berfungsi ya ????? wordpress saya versi 3.1.3

I want to know how to change the “sender’s name” to my website name..
I sent a few test emails, and when I received it it says “Site Admin” instead of baking chic…
When I send the emails through my email server, it shows baking chic, but not when it is sent through the automated plugin..
Any ideas? Please help!

Yup! The same. I am using the latest wordpress version and update button doesn’t work… so i am using another plugin. if you fix this i will use yours for sure. i have donated before
